In The News: Former English Police Officer Opens Florida Home Helpers

Read: Former English Police Officer Opens Florida Home Care Agency — Home Helpers BlogDebbie Ward, former police officer and current owner of Home Helpers & Direct Link of Spring Hill, was featured last week in the Hernando Today, an edition of The Tampa Tribune and The Tampa Times.

As a police officer in England, Debbie Ward made a difference in her community. She told Hernando Today, “I loved the results part of my job.” She now lives in Florida permanently, and recently began her own Home Helpers business.

Debbie’s personal experience with care-giving inspired her decision to work in home care.

Her husband had a 3-year battle with terminal cancer, and she found it difficult to balance roles as a caregiver and a wife. She told the newspaper, “I could’ve benefited from a service like this one.”

Sooner or later, many people will go through this type of situation. It is challenging to take on the role of caregiver in addition to being a wife or husband, son or daughter, mom or dad, or even just a friend. Home care is a way to ease these burdens.

Debbie is excited to provide relief to people who need it, in the comfort of their homes.
