BARRINGTON - To honor the many veterans its serves, Home Helpers of Barrington has donated $500 to the Lake County Veterans and Family Services Foundation (LCVFSF). As one of the nation’s leading providers of affordable and flexible home care services, Home Helpers allows seniors, including veterans, to be independent and secure in their own homes. Area Home Helpers offices serve hundreds of retired veterans and their families across the region with in-home caregiving and support with household chores.
In addition to its donation to LCVFSF, Home Helpers annually provides meals to Chicagoland vets each November in recognition of Veterans Day.
“It is our privilege to help armed forces members who gave the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country,” said Browning. “We are excited to partner with organizations like Lake County Veterans and Family Services Foundation who share the same goal of supporting these brave men and women.” LCVFSF Founder and President Paul Baffico added, “As a community organization in Lake County, we rely on donations and volunteer support so we can provide critical services to veterans and their families. We are grateful for this generous gift from Home Helpers of Barrington to help sustain and further our mission” Lake County Veterans and Family Services Foundation was established to embed 100 percent free and confidential care for Lake County active duty, veterans, reservists, guardsmen and their families, regardless of their discharge status, into the community in order to help them face challenges before, during and after deployments. This is being done through a network of volunteers, veteran peer-to-peer specialists, and critical community resources trained in military culture. For more information, visit www.lakevetsfound.org.
