Home Helpers of Chicago Honors Veterans at Aug. 18 Cubs Game

CHICAGO – August 25, 2016 – The 14 Chicagoland offices of Home Helpers hosted more than 100 veterans for the Aug. 18 Cubs versus Brewers game at Wrigley Field in Chicago. Home Helpers is one of the nation’s leading providers of affordable and flexible home care services to help keep seniors and veterans independent and secure in their own homes.

“We enjoyed the opportunity to extend our gratitude to these dedicated Veterans with a special outing to see the first-place Cubs,” said Christine Browning R.N., president of Home Helpers of Barrington.

Area Home Helpers offices serve hundreds of retired veterans and their families across the region. In addition to in-home caregiving and support with household chores, Home Helpers annually provides meals to Chicagoland vets each November in recognition of Veterans Day.

Each of the Chicago area Home Helpers offices made a limited number of seats available to veterans for this game. The Barrington office of Home Helpers serves Illinois residents in Barrington, Lake Bluff, Lake Zurich, Long Grove, Kildeer, Deerpark, Cary, Prospect Heights, Hawthorn Hills, Libertyville, Lincolnshire, Buffalo Grove, Vernon Hills, Mundelein, Wauconda, Fox River Grove, Palatine, Rolling Meadows, Wheeling, Inverness, Grayslake, Carpentersville, Long Grove and surrounding suburbs.
