About the Owners

John and Christine Browning

Christine L. Browning, R.N., CEO and Owner

Christine is a registered nurse and has been serving the Chicagoland area for nearly 30 years in various caring rolls. She has extensive experience with hospice care, orthopedic care, and adult medical-surgical care and served as a neonatal nurse at Loyola University. She has been involved in caring for others since high school when she served as a ’candy striper’ before becoming a nurse intern working in a retirement center in South Holland, IL, serving the elderly and disabled.

Christine has been a mom to many through the IL foster care system and is now a veteran biological and adoptive Mom to six children.

Having had personal experience as a caregiver for the disabled and elderly, as well as having been a new Mom and the mother of special needs children, she has developed a deep understanding of the many challenges that are involved. She has enjoyed being able to serve parents with her understanding and experience through Home Helpers over the past several years while also bringing her extensive nursing experience particularly with the elderly to bear for well over 100 families since starting Home Helpers.

"I decided to focus on “in-home care” after serving as a caregiver for my own grandmother, Norma Carlson. Through my personal experiences, I saw a real need for quality in-home care. I firmly believe in providing for the physical, spiritual and emotional needs of both patients and their families." - Christine Browning

Christine focuses on seeing through and around obstacles that often challenge families working their way through caring for their loved ones often finding unique solutions to long-standing issues. Her calm competent demeanor puts family members and their loved ones at ease as she seeks first to understand and then to find workable solutions to any situation.
