Compassionate caregivers are the heart and soul of our business. Every day, they set aside their own priorities to focus on the betterment of others.
This is not an easy task – it takes a great deal of kindness, patience and selflessness to set aside one’s own personal cares and worries to help others live happier, healthier lives.
Sherry Halliday, a caregiver with Kay Jurica’s Home Helpers & Direct Link office in Bourbonnais, IL, is one of these special people, and we take great pride in honoring her as the Home Helpers Caregiver of the 1st Quarter 2013!
Despite a devastating fire that recently destroyed her home and took the lives of her beloved pets, Sherry has continued to care for her clients through it all.
“Her story serves as an inspiration to us all,” Jurica said. “Going above and beyond is what Sherry does. Her No. 1 priority is the well-being of her clients. We’re very blessed to have this great caregiver on our staff.”
Sherry Halliday has been with Home Helpers for the past year, and has recently set a new goal for herself; she would like to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
On top of her CNA training, Sherry still finds time for her family and continually provides quality service to her clients.
Sherry is certainly well-deserving of this honor, and we thank her for all her contributions to Home Helpers. We would also like to take this opportunity to recognize some other outstanding caregivers that were nominated, including:
- Jamie Culbertson of Bob & Aimee Hartwiger’s Warsaw, IN, office
- Elizabeth Duke of Janet Dean’s Chillicothe, OH, office
Thank you to all the caregivers out there making a difference every day! Your compassion and dedication are truly inspiring to us all.
