We've used Home Helpers once so far for in-hospital, post-op "sitting." Mike was very responsive and compassionate when he responded to my call. He met me at the hospital so I didn't have to leave my family member unattended.
Kiki (sp?) the sitter was great. She stayed the night in the hospital so I could get some rest. The hospital nursing staff is great for medical care, but I felt much better having the one-on-one supervision when I couldn't be there. She gave me a heads up about a minor overnight condition so I could follow up with the doctor during rounds. If she hadn't been there, I wouldn't have known there was a problem.
Home Helpers rates are reasonable and we intend to use them again when our family member is discharged from the hospital.
