WHAT DO YOU LIKE most ABOUT BEING A CAREGIVER?
What I like most about being a caregiver is the extended family that you get. I've got a lot of moms and dads out there since mine have passed away. So I continue to talk to them. They gave me advice and that's really, just having the family that I don't have.
There's one client that has stuck to my mind and that would be “Mom.” Just because the way that she had traveled from overseas back in the depression with her husband and going from Egypt and Lebanon to those places when it was just horrible. And then to finally get over to the United States where she was able to be here and be safe from what she had to run from. That was a sad story.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT WORKING AT HOME HELPERS OF BRADENTON?
I enjoy working at Home Helpers because the flexibility of the schedule. I also like it because there's a lot of family and friends here and I enjoy the clientele that I get. That they match me up with somebody that gets along with me because my personality is outgoing and that not everybody can put up with me. And there's people that like quiet that can't put up with me. So I get fitted with the clients, the patients that I should be with and the outcome is that they always say that I brighten their day.
