The 2023 Tampa Bay Area Exceptional Caregiver Awards Banquet was a night to remember, as the best of the best in the caregiving industry were recognized for their outstanding work. Over 100 guests attended the Hilton Garden Inn in Riverview, Florida for the event, including caregivers and family members representing Home Helpers locations in Bradenton, Clearwater, Tampa Bay, Polk County, and West St. Pete.
The evening started with a keynote speech from Emma Dickison, President/CEO of Home Helpers Home Care, who praised the hard work and dedication of all the caregivers in attendance. Among those caregivers were the 41 Exceptional Caregivers of the Month from all the agencies, who were recognized for their exceptional service throughout 2022.
The highlight of the evening was the announcement of all of the Home Helpers Exceptional Caregiver of the Year Awards. Each of the five participating agencies put forward their own 2023 Exceptional Caregiver of the Year, recognizing them for their outstanding work, with each receiving an award and cash prize. The winners are as follows: Lakechia Lovell from Home Helpers of Bradenton, Monique Baker from Home Helpers of Tampa Bay, Heather Selfe from Home Helpers of West St. Pete, Emily Chase from Home Helpers of Clearwater, and George Young from Home Helpers of Polk County. Each would also go on to be a finalist for the 2023 Tampa Bay Area Exceptional Caregiver of the Year award.
After much anticipation, Heather Selfe from Home Helpers of West St. Pete was announced as the 2023 Tampa Bay Area Exceptional Caregiver of the Year. Heather was recognized for her exceptional commitment and devotion to her clients, ensuring their happiness and well-being. As the grand winner, Heather received an award certificate and a prize of $1,000.
The event was a wonderful reminder of the important work caregivers do daily and a celebration of those who go above and beyond to make a difference in people's lives. Congratulations to all finalists and winners for the Exceptional Caregiver of the Year awards, and a special congratulations to Heather Selfe, the 2023 Tampa Bay Area Exceptional Caregiver of the Year!
