This is what you receive when you give us the opportunity to support you. Hi, I’m Bill Gardner, owner of Home Helpers Bristol, and my team and I are committed to bringing reliable, compassionate care to families in their community.

Over the years, I worked with a sizeable, multi-specialty physician group and its owner, and renown cardiologist, to better integrate and increase care coordination between health facilities.  I also lead expansion of a new division for a technology company which developed products and services for public agencies, so they could increase access and improve delivery of their programs – including Department of Children Services, Health, Social Services, Transportation and Public Safety. On top of this is my involvement with non-profits, and serving those in need.

I’ve lived in and have been actively involved in central Connecticut for many years. My wife Tracy and I decided to bring a better care option, with Home Helpers, to the Bristol area after experiencing first-hand how life-altering it can be to care for a loved one. All too recently, Tracy and I lost both her parents. Before then, I watched as my grandmother devoted 7 years of her life to caring for my grandfather as he fought his battle with Alzheimer’s. A thief of a disease. My grandfather, Larry, led a very successful life, holding over 70 patents in countries across the world.

At the time, my entire family was immersed in the anxiety and frustration of trying to understand all the available care options. As great as our healthcare system may be at treating diseases, it doesn’t do enough to educate and empower families to make the right care decisions. As I looked back on this situation combined with my experience and personal interest, it led me to see an opportunity to build a care team that could better educate and care for the people in my community. Even more, a renewed focus to do something significant and meaningful to positively impact those I do – and don’t – know.

At Home Helpers, we provide comprehensive home care services for seniors, new mothers and individuals needing recuperative and continuing assistance. We also use Direct Link, our proprietary line of emergency response, fall detection, activity monitoring, and medication management devices to expand services and increase your safety. As well we use Telehealth technologies to reduce your office visits and provide important information to doctors. All this is supported by our live, 24/7 on-call partner – one of few monitoring centers, across the nation, recognized by industry and standards as a Certified 5 Diamond Central Support Station.

I believe our approach to clients and what we do must be more than running a business – it’s about pairing compassionate, socially conscious, quality-minded caregivers for people in our community who need care and advocacy. Our business is built on caregivers who align with the heart of this company. We carefully train our staff and caregivers because we want them to understand our client and family’s needs. Our team is focused on serving each individual person – not just being present and going through the motions.
