Long Term Care Insurance

In many cases, Long Term Care (LTC) insurance can pay for in-home senior services. Home Helpers has served people with policies from a wide variety of LTC insurance companies - Genworth, John Hancock, Northwestern Mutual, Bankers Life, New York Life, and many more.

Nursing Home Insurance. That’s what Long Term Care insurance used to be known as. And it made sense. It was insurance that paid for care in a nursing home.

Times changed. More and more people practically shouted that Dorothy had it right in The Wizard of Oz – there’s no place like home. The insurance companies listened and receiving care in your home is now a common coverage with LTC insurance.

And that’s a good thing. Most people we talk with say that they’d far prefer to remain in the comfort of their home as opposed to relocating to a facility.

By using your LTC insurance to pay for Home Helpers services, you can remain in the comfort of your home and not have to relocate to a facility.

The Genworth Cost of Care Survey is a terrific tool. It compares the costs of different types of care. In Little Rock, for example, the Survey reports an average monthly nursing home charge of $6,266 for a private room while in-home care for a month might only be $3,527.

Not all home care agencies are familiar with or even meet LTC insurance standards to provide reimbursable care. This is especially true of “independent contractors.”

Home Helpers is very comfortable with LTC insurance – including helping initiate a claim, performing the initial assessment and crafting the Care Plan, and submitting the necessary Care Notes each week.

Home Helpers is a known factor with many LTC insurance companies because we serve so many people with that type of insurance. We serve and have served MANY people with LTC policies from Genworth, Northwestern Mutual, New York Life, John Hancock, Bankers Life, Mutual of Omaha and many more.
