Meet Our Care Team

Janet and Bill Dean, Owners

Janet and Bill Dean, Owners

Starting in a home office in 2004, Janet Dean, along with the support of co-owner and husband Bill, met with potential clients in their homes and interviewed potential Caregivers by meeting with them in their local areas. Janet met with people in each of the communities the company would serve and let them know about the services Home Helpers could provide. She joined the Chamber of Commerce in each service area as well as other groups such as the Ross County Senior Advisory Council. Janet scheduled Caregivers with Clients and also cared for Clients when a Caregiver was not available. Understanding the importance of communication, she answered the phones 24/7 and maintained every aspect needed to ensure satisfied clients.

An office was opened in Chillicothe in the Fall of 2007 with some help answering phones and scheduling. Home Helpers began contracting with the Area Agency on Aging to provide services for the Caregiver Support program and PASSPORT.  After continued growth in Highland County, an office was opened in Spring of 2008 on Main Street in Hillsboro.  The Pike County office, now located in Waverly, was opened in October of 2009.

Our Caregivers are hired for their warm hearts and a true desire to help others. They are thoroughly screened with reference and background checks and are trained through Home Helpers University. It is very important to us to provide services in the community that we can be proud of. We appreciate every opportunity to provide assistance so people may remain in the comfort of their own homes.

Megan Hopkins, Care Manager

Before joining our Care Team in 2009, Megan had hands-on experience as an STNA as well as medical office experience. She has become an integral part of our team. Megan will meet with you and your family to see if Home Helpers can assist you. The free In-home assessment is scheduled at your convenience in your location.

Care Coordinators

Our Care Coordinators are our company liaisons for our Clients and Caregivers. They carefully match our Caregivers with Clients, schedule them for the appropriate times, and communicate daily with all of our associates.

RN Supervisors

Our RN Supervisors are hired for their knowledge and compassion for others. They make regular supervisory visits with those we have contracted to serve. They ensure not only client satisfaction but also compliance with our contracts.

Jennifer Dunn, Training Manager

Jennifer joined our Care Team in 2007 as a Caregiver. Over the years she has been involved with nearly every procedure within the Company. Jennifer trains every new Caregiver on the "Home Helpers’way" before they go into the field. New Caregivers are also tested by an RN Supervisor on training day to ensure they are competent to provide services to our Clients.

Laura Holzhauer, Quality Assurance Coordinator

Laura started with us as a Caregiver with a passion for excellent service. She has advanced to the responsibility of ensuring the Company is providing the care we would expect for our own families.

Laura recruits new Caregivers who have compassion for others and orients them to our standards and requirements. She also goes into the community to represent us and proudly share what we do.
