Recognize Seniors with Bone and Joint Disorders in Pinellas and Pasco Counties in Florida

By Debbie Humphrey

We think a lot about pink in October, because it is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and that is awesome. However, this week, you may choose to opt for a signifying blue ribbon for arthritis awareness; pearl, white or clear adornments representing osteoporosis; or maybe cream-colored ribbons in support of sufferers of spinal disorders and spinal cord injuries. We can actually accessorize with any or all of these different colors, each day of this special week!

October 12-20, is Bone & Joint Health Action Week, with specific awareness days scattered throughout, to increase our recognition of seniors with bone and joint disorders in Pinellas and Pasco Counties in Florida, and those who suffer from various forms of these diseases and dysfunctions on a regular basis.

October 12 - World Arthritis Day

October 16 - World Spine Day

October 17 - World Trauma Day

October 19 - World Pediatric Bone and Joint (PB&J) Day

October 20 - World Osteoporosis Day
