My father was diagnosed with a terminal condition called Amyloid Angiopathy. A massive brain bleed and stroke put him in intensive care and, after two brain surgeries to save his life, his left side was paralyzed and his quality of life was diminished until he passed away in 2007. He went into the hospital a wonderful father, grandfather, husband and friend and came out a stranger we didn’t even know. To make things worse, my mother struggled with under qualified and dishonest caregivers who came into her home to make life better, but only caused her more stress.
I was inspired to open this business because I knew there had to be a better option out there for families like mine – whether you need 24/7 care or just a little help here and there. My entire team is passionate about providing top-notch, compassionate care to people in this community. We want to make a difference by helping clients and their families live their lives to the fullest.
Prior to opening Home Helpers, I spent my career in the financial services industry and worked for several commercial banks in the area. In 2005, I started my own financial services business, Shrawder Financial Services, which I continue to own and operate in Sunbury PA.
