Since Home Helpers Home Care opened its doors in North Central CT, we have been proud to serve clients in Manchester, one of the oldest cities in our region, which once hosted the largest silk mill in the world. Today, Manchester has a fast-growing elderly population, with over 10% of the households occupied by someone 65 years of age or older, who lives alone.
At Home Helpers, our mission is to help this population to age at home, healthy and safe. To do so, we offer personalized services like Personal Care, 24-hour Care, Live-in Care, Alzheimer’s Care, and Companion Care.
Our goal is to take care of things, while your loved one enjoys life staying happy, healthy and safe.

Home Helpers caregivers are compassionate persons whose mission in life is to help people. Our selection process includes interviews, reference-checks, orientation, background-check, and drug testing.
Full-time assistance is necessary if the client doesn’t have the mobility to execute their activities of daily living on their own. They may need constant assistance to get out of bed, get dressed, bath, eat, etc. It is also an option for caring for an Alzheimer’s patient who is entering the mid to late stages of the disease, to ensure they are safe and comfortable at home.
Our caregivers’ training covers all difficulties posed by Alzheimer’s: communication, sensitivity, behavior changes, sundowning, hallucinations, personal care, etc. The training enables them to tackle these issues in a soft, gentle way, ensuring the patient’s well-being and building a relationship based on trust and respect.
Staying active and socially engaged is critical for seniors’ health and well-being.
Wake up: We will be there when your loved one wakes up, to assist with getting out of bed, dressing up, brushing their teeth, preparing and having breakfast. They will be refreshed and ready for the day!
Tuck in: Our caregivers will assist your loved one by the end of the day with dinner preparation, shower, brushing teeth, wearing their pajamas, reminding meds and getting them ready for a good night of sleep.
We can help with a range of needs, including:
Getting in and out of bed
Sitting and standing
Using the bathroom
To re-organize yourself or to have that long-deserved break, we are here to help.
The town and some local businesses, like Home Helpers, offer services to Senior Citizens of Manchester. These are also great resources for family members caring for an elderly loved one. Read more.
