According to the 2015 "Caregiving in the United States" report by the AARP (American Association of Retired Persons), approximately 34.2 million Americans have provided unpaid senior care to an adult age 50 or older in the year prior to the report’s release. Out of every 10 family caregivers, 6 are women and 4 are men. 18% of them take care of more than one person.

A study by Boston College researchers estimates that half of the Americans over 85 years of age need some type of care. This means that, as our overall population ages, many more people will be drawn to the role of caregiver.

For most of them, caring for a senior loved one is an unexplored territory. It is necessary to learn as much as possible, in a short amount of time.

To help new and existing family caregivers, we are compiling the best in-home care resources available, on these pages. The information will be constantly updated and new reports, charts, and lists will be uploaded here over time.

It may be a difficult journey, but it’s also a rewarding one—and you’re not alone!
