Your release from the hospital doesn’t necessarily mean a return to life as usual. As you continue to recover, Home Helpers can help with non-medical as well as skilled nursing services.
A Home Helpers caregiver can help with personal care, meal preparation, and chores around the house, leaving you or your loved one to concentrate on getting better. Your caregiver also is trained to identify fall hazards and to offer reminders when it’s time to take medications.
Skilled nursing care also is available. Director of Medical Services Tina Figueroa, RN, (pictured below) can perform many medical services in the comfort and privacy of the client’s home, often reducing the need for frequent trips to a physician’s office.
Available services include:
• Blood sugar testing
• G-tube feedings
• Hospice support
• Wound care
• Straight catheterization
• Ostomy/colostomy care
• Basic PICC line and port care
• Diabetes training
• Nursing assessment
• Medication set-up
• Coumadin monitoring
• First Aid/CPR
