Dave Schmidt, President/CEO

Dave Schmidt
President/CEO

Dave has 19 years of small business ownership experience, over 35 years of executive-level experience, as well as a BS – Hospitality/Business from the University of Wisconsin – Stout. He is also a professional musician, and hobbies include sports, fishing, and gardening.

Dave’s focus is on ensuring all aspects of Home Helpers result in the best quality care for our clients.

Lisa has been a Physical Therapist in rehab care for seniors for almost 30 years. She earned her degree from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. When she’s not working, Lisa enjoys movies, crafts, and spending time with family and friends.

Lisa’s focus is 100% client satisfaction through communication with clients, their families, and our staff.

Jessy Rogers, Director of Office Operations

Jessy has 10 years of experience working in child care and senior care. Helping others has always been a great passion for her. She enjoys spending time with her family and taking small road trips.

Jessy’s focus is on maintaining an efficient, client-focused organization.

Doreen has worked in the service industry for 18 years, so helping people has been a priority in her life. She enjoys hiking, birding and traveling.

Doreen’s focus is to be the highlight in someone’s day every day while ensuring quality care. She also helps ensure we are well-connected in the communities we serve, through volunteer work and community involvement.

Liz has 24 years of health care experience. She enjoys helping and caring for the senior population. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with my family, gardening and taking little road trips.

Liz’s focus is to find top quality CNA’s and caregivers and to help wherever needed.

Debbie has worked in the service industry for over 25 years, so meeting and exceeding
her customer’s expectations has always been a top priority. New to Wisconsin, she and her family are getting used to the ever-changing weather forecast. She enjoys spending time with her family watching her kids’ sporting events (swimming and baseball). She is also an avid sports fan and has quickly embraced the Brewers, Packers, and Bucks.

Debbie’s focus is on the client experience. From the first phone call, she is here to answer any questions you may have regarding Home Helpers.

Melissa Mishefske, Scheduling & Care Coordinator

Melissa has been a Certified Nursing Assistant with Home Helpers for 4 years. She is passionate about helping others and providing the best care possible. When not helping others, Melissa enjoys spending time with her family and friends, watching movies, and hiking.

Melissa's focus is on managing and maintaining the schedule for our clients and staff.

Amber Halverson, Training & Care Coordinator

Amber has been a Certified Nursing Assistant for over 15 years also having experience throughout the healthcare field. She enjoys spending time with family and doing crafts and being overall creative.

Amber is responsible for ensuring the absolute best client experience in their homes. Our caregiving team reports to Amber, and together their focus is complete client satisfaction through exceptional care.

Gwen Herzog, Nurse Practitioner

Gwen has been a Nurse Practitioner for about 3 years. She earned her degree from Concordia University. She’s been married to her husband for 8 years now. They enjoy traveling, hiking, hunting, fishing and spending time in northern Wisconsin. Family is very important to her, and she spends most of her weekends with them.

Gwen’s focus is initial client assessments, addressing client medical concerns, and communicating with medical staff to ensure the best possible home care.
