Direct Link Medical Alert Systems

Direct Link’s Exclusive Line of Products Allow Your Loved One to Remain Independent

Our mission is to ensure you and your loved ones can maintain your independence and enjoy aging in place in the comfort of home for as long as safely possible. Direct Link is a national provider of medical alert systems that empower seniors to live independently for longer than might otherwise be possible. These include our 24-hour personal emergency response system (PERS), a monitored & automated medication dispenser and vital sign monitoring.

Our office is locally owned and operated, enabling quick installation and personalized, ongoing support. We stock our inventory to facilitate maintenance. Direct Link is available on a monthly basis with no equipment to buy and no long-term commitments or obligations.

With Direct Link’s exclusive line of Monitored Systems, you can live independently and securely in the comfort of home longer than might otherwise be possible! Direct Link systems are monitored 24/7 by a CSAA 5-Diamond Certified Care Center, allowing you or your loved one to reach help at the touch of a button day or night, keep up with their medication with the right dosage at the right time, and track any vital sign changes outside the norm before it becomes an issue.

The Monitored Medical Alert systems include options tailored to your specific situation such as Land Line, VOIP, Cell, GPS and Fall Sensors. Below is the information on each of the systems to help in choosing the right one for you. You can always call us at (208) 504-1352 and we would be happy to help.

Home Helpers Monitoring Services

Home Helpers provides a wide array of monitoring services and medical alert devices designed to give seniors and others requiring in-home care the independence they need while also assuring safety, using quality systems to make sure our monitoring is as secure and efficient as possible.

Land-in/VOIP Medical Alert System

Works off your existing landline or internet VOIP. We keep these in stock and are able to install and test the system with you. Our system is monitored 24/7 by a CSAA 5-Diamond Certified Care Center, allowing you or your loved one to reach help at the touch of a button day or night.

Cellular Medical Alert System

No land line? No worries! Direct Link’s Cellular Medical Alert System utilizes multiple cellular networks, so you can reach help 24/7 simply by pushing the pendant. The unit features a 650-foot button range, a 24-hour battery backup & will report if the pendant has been absent from the unit for an extended period of time. The Care Center is also notified of a power loss or low battery, and they will take the appropriate action to ensure your safety by alerting you directly or alerting an emergency contact.

Fall Sensor

Live life your way in the comfort of home! The Direct Link Fall Sensor is specifically designed to detect a fall and automatically dial the Central Monitoring Station to ensure you receive help promptly, and if no sudden movement is detected within 10 seconds, an “unconsciousness” alarm will be raised. Help can also be reached 24/7 by pushing the button.

MobileCare - Belle / Belle+

Go where you want, when you want – all while staying connected! Belle is a mobile PERS device with WiFi location technology to track your location in case of an emergency, allowing you to summon help within seconds, and converse directly with The Care Center. Automated Medication Dispenser

Simplify Medication Management

Keeping up with multiple medications can be a challenge, especially when there are certain prescriptions that must be taken at specific times during the day. According to the Alliance for Health Reform, approximately 20% of seniors are using about 50 prescriptions every year, and research shows about 25% of all nursing home admissions are related to improper self-administration of medicine.*

Direct Link’s automated medication dispenser can help simplify medication management, giving you peace of mind and maximizing independence. You’ll have fewer worries about:

  • Forgetting to take a dose.
  • Taking a double dose.
  • Taking at the wrong time.
  • Opening and closing pill bottles.
  • Identifying pills or bottles if you are visually impaired.
  • Privacy of type and quantity of medications.
How the Med Dispenser Works

The unit utilizes user-friendly microchip technology to dispense multiple medications at preset times:

  • Load up to 28 doses of medication.
  • Set the digital alarm clock.
  • Close the unit under lock and key, not just a latch..
  • Opening and closing pill bottles.
  • When dose is ready, alarm sounds and red light flashes.
  • If dose is not taken, the *Care Center
  • Is alerted and will call to remind you.

* The unit is compatible with digital cable/VoIP phone service, and it is AC operated with a 72-hour rechargeable battery back-up for travel or power failures.

* According to Albert I. Wertheimer, Medication Compliance: Still Far to Go. The Journal of Applied Research.
