Activities for Seniors in Upper Arlington

  • Upper Arlington Senior Center: The Parks & Recreation Department offers a comprehensive range of innovative programs and activities for the 50-plus crowd, including a Senior Center. Call 614.583.5320 for more information.
  • Upper Arlington History Trail: Look for the bear print markers around the city to learn about historically significant areas like the Bull Moose Memorial, the Centennial Plaza and History Walk, the Miller Carriage Step and Veterans Plaza.
  • Upper Arlington Public Library: In addition to its catalog of books, movies, music and virtual titles, the UA library system also has book chats, virtual puzzles and other events and programs.

  • Upper Arlington Area Commission on Aging: The UA Commission on Aging empowers, educates and enriches the lives of Upper Arlington residents as they age. Call 614.583.5326 for more information.
  • Upper Arlington Neighborhood Bridges: Neighborhood Bridges brings together a variety of community resources to support, take care of and remove barriers for individuals in need—including area seniors. For assistance, email UpperArlington@neighborhooodbridges.org.
  • I am Fine: UA seniors can register for the UA Commission on Aging’s FREE I Am Fine (formerly known as Kind Call) telephone check-in system. Registered seniors receive automated calls on a schedule of their choosing. If they don’t answer, the system initiates a series of notifications, first to family members and then to UA Police who will perform a wellness check.

Syntero’s programs for older adults help individuals, their families and their caregivers face the challenges of growing older.
