Monitoring Services

Round-The-Clock Care for Your Aging Family

Effective monitoring services and medical alert systems provide a safe and secure solution to the obstacles elders may face when wishing to live independently. Home Helpers® Home Care is here to help guide you through the options and reassure you that you and your loved one's needs are met. We offer a variety of options that can fit the needs of all our clients. Direct Link® is an emergency response system that we are proud to offer our clients.

What is Direct Link®?

Direct Link® is anywhere there are elder care services. Direct Link® is not only available with you wherever you go and in your home, but also in assisted living, independent living, or continuing care communities. Direct Link® is monitored 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Providing Peace of Mind

As part of our robust senior home care services, Home Helpers® offers the Direct Link® Personal Emergency Response System (PERS) that enables you to feel safer and live more independently in the comfort of your own home.

When it comes to in-home care and monitoring, you may feel the options are either too limited or endless. We’re here to guide you through your monitoring and care options so you can be confident that you’re making the best decisions for your family’s unique needs.

When Should I Consider Direct Link as Part of My In-Home Care?

It’s a fact that one-third of all individuals over the age of 65 will fall each year. You and your loved one benefit from the peace of mind that a PERS will provide. Seniors who have a PERS can stay in their home an average of six years longer, and research shows getting help within four hours of a fall can dramatically reduce the severity and effects.

  • A PERS should be considered part of your in-home care services if your loved one:
  • Is alone several hours a day
  • Has fallen in the past year
  • Has visited the emergency room in the past year
  • Has a chronic ailment – heart disease, COPD, etc.
  • Uses a cane, walker, or another device to help with balance and walking
  • Requires assistance with daily living activities

Senior Home Care with Affordable Peace of Mind

Direct Link® is an affordable way to quickly reach help in an emergency, giving you and your loved one peace of mind.

Direct Link® is also great for new moms, children who are home alone, those recovering from illness or injury, and individuals facing lifelong challenges. All Direct Link® devices are monitored 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. All units include an extra emergency call button free of charge. All call buttons are water-resistant, making them ideal for all rooms – even kitchens and bathrooms.

All units are compatible with digital cable/Voice of Internet (VoIP) phone service. Our units do not risk interference or data loss due to VoIP bandwidth issues. Additionally, you do NOT need a Wi-Fi or cellular plan to use any of our cellular services.

In addition to our comprehensive PERS options, we also provide medication management.

  • Following is the Direct Link® catalog of PERS options:
  • MXD/MXDF Landline: Our basic in-home monitoring care, perfect if all you need is a little peace of mind, includes a personal help or fall button.
