Personal Care & Companionship

Comprehensive & Customizable Assistance

As you or your loved one ages, it is natural to need a bit of help with accomplishing daily tasks. Assistance with basic activities of daily living, like hygiene, cooking, or remembering to take medication can help your loved one remain safe and comfortable in their own home. At Home Helpers® Home Care, we offer personal care and companion care.

For over 20 years, our compassionate team has been helping the elderly and differently-abled live enriched, engaged, and independent lives. Our Exceptional Caregivers are trained to work with you or your loved one, engaging them in activities, when appropriate. Being an active participant helps build strong relationships with our Caregivers, making the experience more enjoyable. It also helps stimulate and engage you or your family member.

As care needs change, we will re-evaluate the Care Plan to make sure it covers your changing needs.

What is Personal Care?

Personal Care, provided by our trained, Exceptional Caregivers includes attention to any personal needs from dressing to hygiene to meal preparation. Our Caregivers are selected for their ability to connect with clients, making their presence a bright spot in each day.

  • Our Customized care plan may include any or all of the following:
  • Meal preparation
  • Feeding
  • Mobility
  • Dressing
  • Bathing
  • Using the bathroom
  • Sitting and standing
  • Navigating stairs
  • Getting in and out of bed

In our In-Home Care Assessment, we will discuss both your needs and your interests. Then we will find the Caregivers that will be the best match.

Specialty Care for Special Situations

When there are special situations, you need a home care partner that trains its staff accordingly. Our Caregivers are trained to assist those with Alzheimer's or dementia. We can help those with complications from heart disease or diabetes. Talk to us about your family’s needs and we will develop a care plan that preserves your dignity and independence.

We can also help people of any age who have developmental and intellectual differences. From Down’s Syndrome to Parkinson's Disease, our Caregivers can bring joy and support to your family. From wake-up services and tuck-in services for those living independently to support while you may be at work, we can craft a Care Plan tailored to your situation.

For those who are providing care as a family, we also assist with Respite Care. We can help when you need or want to travel, over the holidays, or on other occasions.
